The Retriever is a small, lightweight GPS tracker. It uses GPS satellite tracking to find its position and then transmits this information via the GSM mobile network.

When you install this tracker in your bike it allows you to locate it if it is stolen and to track where it has been as it moves around the country

The tracker transmits its coordinates to you in two ways. You can request the Retrievers location via SMS text message. The tracker will then send back a text which contains the longitude and latitude which you can enter into your SatNav or PDA or into GoogleMaps or GoogleEarth. The Retriever also continuously uploads its location to our website via GPRS where you can view and track the device online. You will see a red line drawn on a map which will show you where your bike has been.

The Retriever is designed for motorcycles. As such it is water resistant and durable and does not need to be removed and recharged. It is wired onto the motorcycles battery and then easily hidden within the frame. The unit is designed to draw minimal power from the motorcycle battery. It can be configured to 'sleep', waking up periodically to check if it's location has been requested. Otherwise, it will not connect to the GPS network to avoid flattening your battery.

All configuration is done by sending the unit SMS text messages. Once it is installed, you should not need to touch it again. Full instructions are provided for further customisation if you wish.

Your tracker can come with a pre-installed PayAsYouGo SIM card with GBP10 credit. This should be enough to last you at least a year (depending on usage). The tracker uses GPRS to upload its location to the tracking server. This is very cost effective. With a typical PAYG SIM card your tracker can report its position thousands of times for 1 pound.

You can top your SIM card up online, over the phone or at your news-agent. We charge no on-going subscription fees and no fees are charged by us to view your trackers location on our website or via SMS text message. Ask for a SIM-only, Pay-As-You-Go plan.
